Yes Ziggi this exactly what I have done, here is the process:
Create a new page/ Go to parameter/advanced/Injection code/ paste this:
<style>.header, #footer-sections{display:none!important}</style>
Then create a new section "image" in your page Choose the Diarama template/download your image with your destiantion url/home. Then Modified Section and edit the "Commands" option with "hiden".
Then go back on your "New Page" main menu est set it as "main".

Why not just create a landing page as a basic new page, and then set it as your homepage? Then you can click to the actual designed home page?
