I'm having the same issue! Any updates on this?
I don't want to have to use the confirmation email for sign-ups - recaptcha works so much better.
Hopefully they fix this asap!

Has this issue been resolved. REcaptcha only working in edit mode? My client is receiving a lot of spam coming from her contact form. Thank you.
