Adding my support for getting this feature added to Squarespace ASAP.

Squarespace. Please resolve this. I am about to start working on another client's website, and absolutely need for this to be resolved ASAP.

Has this still not been fixed? Ridiculous!

Another tragedy.
Why there's no file organization system is a massive oversight. Doesn't make any sense. 
What's worse, the image library isn't paginated so I literally have no means of finding previous images without actively searching or reorganizing according to upload date and then hoping that it'll appear.
Laughably bad. 

Will this be resolved soon? This is a nightmare. I will have to reconsider using Squarespace now going forward after planning out a business selling custom made sites for specific industries, this inability to manage a photo gallery is a deal breaker!!! What a lot of wasted time... even the lowest level platforms offer this function. It may also mean I have to delete my current project and start over. Nightmare!!! 

Okay, but that needs fixed.

Squarespace has been around for years -- how could this huge issue still exist? Never would have switched from Wordpress and spent hours working on site if I had known this. What would it take form them to actually address this? I have hundreds of photos to take out. What a huge problem that would be easy to fix. It makes me wonder if Squarespace is this unresponsive about everything...? Does anyone have any hacks, tricks, workarounds to fix this? I'd even empty out the whole site and start with install again because I'd load the site up differently.

I also need the ability to delete images. 
I initially uploaded all my portfolio photos as high resolution images  - but the large files make the website too slow. I need to replace all images with lower res ones for faster page display. But I cant delete the first set of images. I'm going to have to sort through TWO of every image each time I want to select an image. 

Add an option to delete uploaded assets!
I want full control over whatever images I want or not uploaded on my website.
I'm starting to consider asking for a refund, this is borderline illegal besides being counter productive.
 

Can only support this! I spent ages thinking that it was just me who couldn't find the feature. A bit shocked that it doesn't exist, actually 

Another web design agency here echoing all previous comments on this thread and others.   Being able to manage media is a must have feature.

An ongoing feature request since May 2020. Still nothing.

This is astonishing and disappointing that isn't a feature already. I see it's been requested for over a year. What gives?! This is an INSANE THING to not have included. Ugh. So disappointing/annoying/frustrating. BOO! 

I recommend that each one of you submits a "feature request" email with a link to this thread.
Squarespace must address this. It's absolutely ridiculous to not be able to clearly manage/delete the photos you've uploaded.
 
 

I just subscribed to Squarespace and discovered that there is no option of deleting/managing imported images.
It is like using a program with no 'undo'. That should be the most basic feature. And I can see this feature as been asked for years now.

Even though I loved the templates, I would have never selected Squarespace knowing that I cannot manage and delete my own photos. I would transfer my site right now, if it weren't for the 60 day lock. I'm in a art business class with almost 1000 students. I will post this fact everywhere so the other artists, creatives, designers, etc., will know.
