Can I add an intro and photo on the side of the blog/home page with Tudor?

I want to include brief intro text and a small photo to explain what the blog is about and maintain brand continuity. I also would love to show a list of the categories of blog posts on this sidebar, recent posts, and social links. I know this is possible on WordPress. Is this possible with Squarespace?
