There is only one breakpoint in Squarespace 7.1 and that's at 768px wide. If you make an adjustment at 800px and then at 1000px and then 1440px you are simply erasing the previous layout. If you have large blocks of text then adjusting the view on a larger screen often works the best as the rows get stretched by the text breaking to more lines as the screen size gets smaller.
