I want to use a summary block at the top of my home page to showcase a featured blog post from among recent posts. Something like on the image attached here.
However, unlike my regular posts which will have titles and metadata below their respective images (as in screenshot), I want the title of the featured post to be superimposed over its corresponding picture (in white text): just the title without any other metadata. I want the superimposed (not floating) title to only apply to the summary block featured post at the top of the home page and not apply to any of the other posts, including the same post when it appears within recent posts.
I hope that makes sense. I assume this has been asked before, but can't find what I am looking for.
Code for superimposing (not floating) blog title over its featured image.
