Hi!
I have a website in which I only have one video to show, however I don't want to embed a video from Vimeo or Youtube because neither allow displaying the video at the quality that I need without paying extra. I would like to upload my video directly to Squarespace and display it natively.
However, the only way it seems to do this (without using it as a video background which I also can't do because the video is over 60 seconds) is to use the video page. It seems weird for me to make my clients click through multiple headings or to display the video page sidebar when all I want is to show the one video in a clean way. I'm thinking that there must be a way to create a direct path to the video already uploaded to Squarespace so that it displays on its own page. Either by directly linking the video URL to its own button in the header or maybe some roundabout coding.
I'd appreciate any help from this as it seems like such a weird thing to get stuck on. I would figure this would be a popular thing to have to do.
Thanks for the help!
How to bypass the video gallery to just show the video directly

Thankfully after days trying to figure this out, I managed to find the answer several minutes after posting about it on the forum. Funny how that works
To anyone else with the same issue. Create a video page and upload the video you want to it. Next, go to the all section on the page and find your video. Click the 3 dots and scroll down to find the video url. It's going to be a bit tricky because the url is slippery for some reason but copy the video url in its entirety. Next go back to the pages sidebar and add a new page. When it asks you what kind of page you want to make, select URL and paste the video url there. Now just make sure the video page is hidden from view and you'll have a direct link to a video!
