Custom CSS only working in Editor

Having some trouble with Custom CSS. When I go to Design > Custom CSS and paste in this code, the gallery arrows show up like I want them to: grey on a transparent background. But when I save then preview the page, the arrows are gone. If anyone can help I sure would appreciate it.
