  1. I'm having this same issue. I first experienced it over a year ago which forced me to stop using Google Ads altogether. I refocused on my second business site (for a second small business I own) and used other means of marketing on the affected original business site. However, I now need to resume Google Ads for this business. So, I thought I'd start over with a clean sheet and a brand new site on Squarespace. I even went as far as setting up a new Google Ads account with a new campaign. Same thing happened - Google Ads disapproved for 'compromised site' and 'circumventing systems'.

    So I got back in touch with Squarespace customer support and this time was told that there is an issue that the Squarespace Engineering team is aware of - originally I was told they couldn't see any issues when I first reported this for my old site over a year ago.

    This is part of the reply I got yesterday:

    'We’re currently investigating an issue with internal performance and census URLs within the robots.txt file are being marked as harmful or malicious software or malware, and results in ad disapproval —thanks for reporting this to us. Our Engineering teams are prioritizing a fix for this as we speak.

    There are many variables that we test against before we release a fix, so we can’t provide an exact timeframe for a resolution. We can’t always follow up personally when a fix is released due to the volume of reports we receive for this issue.'

    Having read this thread I now know that this issue has been happening as far back as 2020!! So this doesn't fill me with confidence that the Engineering team are going to be rolling out a fix anytime soon?!?!

    This situation is a deal breaker for me and for at least one of my clients who I'm building a Squarespace site for who will be planning on using Google Ads to promote her business.

    Has anyone managed to get this issue resolved on their site?

    I'm now seriously looking at other platforms to move all of my Squarespace sites over to. I really don't want to do this but will be left with no alternative if a fix can't be found quickly.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

  2. I've been trying to add clickthrough URL's to some images on my site. I can add a clickthrough URL to an external site to an image in the settings tab for that image, however I can't find any way to make this clickthrough open in a new window when it is clicked. I don't really want visitors to leave my site when they click on a an external link that is on an image - such as the Apple Music logo for example. I have a couple of other sites on different templates and this isn't an issue on those templates. Is there any way I can get external links that are on images to open in a new window on the Wexley template?

    I like the main gallery style in Wexley for the particular site I have on it (a photography portfolio site) which I why I chose Wexley rather than a different template for this site. Is there a different template that has the Wexley style galleries but not the issue with clickthrough URL's not opening in a new window?

    Many thanks

  3. I'm looking for an answer to this too as at the moment only about 50% of people who click add to cart are actually going to checkout and completing the order. From some user feedback we have received some users aren't sure what the next step in the process is i.e. they don't know that they have to click on the cart at the top of the site to go through to checkout. So is there a way of adding a checkout button on the actual product pages?

  4. You could check out this piece of CSS

    https://sf.digital/squarespace-solutions/how-can-i-make-some-prices-poa-on-squarespace-71

    If you want to hide the 'add to cart' button on individual products amend the code so that the description after the .tag- is something like hidecart and then tag whatever product you want to remove  'add to cart' with 'hidecart'. You can change this wording to whatever you like but always keep the .tag- part.

    For example:

    /* Hide the add-to-cart button */
    .tag-hidecart .ProductItem-summary .ProductItem-details {
      .sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper, .product-quantity-input {
      display: none;
      }
    }

    Hopefully my amendment should work. Thanks to SF Digital for the original code.

  5. I'm having this exact same issue too. I tried the custom CSS above and while it goes some way to providing a solution i.e. the product categories top bar is also visible on individual category pages, the formatting doesn't look good and the 'All/' category is still visible. It doesn't format at all on mobile.

    Any more answers/solutions? It seems like a very basic feature that SqSp should have included in 7.1 from the offset.

  6. I'm finalising building a new site for a new business which I'm about to launch. I'm using the Crosby template in 7.1. I need to be able to add a second button alongside or beneath the default 'add to cart' button on my product pages. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this? I've searched but so far have been unable to find an answer. It seems like it should be a fairly simple thing to do hopefully. Any help much appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    Phil
