thank you so much that's really helpful! I don't seem to be getting all of the breadcrumbs though. I get Shop and product title. Much better than before but if there's a way of getting the subcategory title that would be fabulous!!

Hi! What a big help this code is. Did we ever figure out how to display the "Category" breadcrumb?

  2. Thanks for the reply, a member of the Squarespace support team got back to me and it turns out my error was listing the Product Type as "PHYSICAL" for all of my variants, thus making the importer treat them as unique products. The documentation doesn't explicitly state that Product Type SHOULDN'T be included for variants, so I assumed that it should be. Hope this helps anyone having the same issue!

  3. I am in the process of importing my products using the upload template CSV. Many of my products have multiple variants. According the the documentation, "you only need to enter the Products Page URL for the first variant."

When I leave the "Product Page" column empty for variants, however, I receive an error for each after import reading:

    Product page not found
Make sure the URL corresponds to an existing product page

When I try filling in the "Product Page" column for each of the variants (I am using "shop"), the system interprets each row as its own unique product, and I have a bunch of unnamed products rather than variants.

As far as I can tell after many reviews, there are no other errors within my CSV.

  4. I am in the process of importing my products with the upload template CSV. I have all of my images hosted within our company Google drive, and have added the public share links to my CSV under "Hosted Image URLs."

After importing, though, only a blank square with a grey diagonal slash is visible where an imported photo should be. My guess is this is because my URLs don't end in .jpeg, .png, etc.

Is there a way to get a link to my images hosted in Drive so that I won't encounter this problem? Is there a different hosting service I should be using that will automatically generate a link with an image extension?

Would getting intricate with some CSS assist though? My idea is perhaps to cover the Blog Post Title/Item Title on the Blog Page, after which Manually Add the H1's on the pinnacle of the publish. Would there be a few way to nonetheless display the date and category tags?

Hey, any luck with a CSS solution? I just found out social sharing buttons for products aren't included in 7.1, after I finished building out virtually every other aspect of my site. Infuriating!

This isn't possible for background videos as they only support sharing URLs without queries, whereas standard video blocks allow embed codes.

The workaround is to edit the video to remove the first 8 seconds and then upload it again.

Thanks, Paul. Is it possible to use custom CSS to set an embedded video (with the delayed start time) as a section background?

  7. I'm trying to use a video as a section background from a Youtube link, but need to skip the first 8 seconds of the video. I have tried inputting the URL with ?start=8 and ?t=8, but neither change the start time. How else can I adjust the start time of a Youtube video embedded as a background?

Try using the 'start' parameter instead of 't'

This parameter uses the number of seconds from the start of the video. For example, for the url that you quoted above:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJKOYDBBNik&t=7m46s

    Use this instead:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJKOYDBBNik&start=466

Let me know how you get on.

    -Paul

Hi Paul, I'm unable to change the start time for my embedded Youtube video, and I've tried both t and start in the URL. The video is in use as a section background. Any advice?
