It's early stages, just started but here it is; https://aqua-carnation-465x.squarespace.com/config/pages
So it's the Large Paintings section that needs to have the cart removed and replaced with a button 'contact gallery' or something like that.
Thanks so much for your help.

I'm using this site as my template https://alameda-demo.squarespace.com
Within the 'shop' I have 3 sub categories, like shown in the example. But in the site I am building, one of them can not be purchased through the store but instead customers have to contact the business to enquire about the product, (the actual product will be large paintings sold through various galleries). Is there anyway this can turn the cart off for just one of the categories?

I'm designing a new website for a client that has an existing squarespace site but it's a few years old. I'd like to use a different template design but it's not letting me move it to another template.
The client has an active subscription so I'm not sure how to design a new website, parallel to the existing one without taking out a new business subscription.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks so much!

Thanks for that. I searched hide add to cart button and found info on another post...
you can remove them by adding this to Design > Custom CSS:
.ProductItem-details .sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper, .ProductItem-details .product-quantity-input { display: none; }

My client is closing their shop over Christmas and they want to stop people from ordering their products during this time.
How do I temporarily turn the shop off or prevent people from buying things?

I've been told I need custom CSS to turn the cart off on selected products within the shop, is this right?
In the link I provided it would be all the 'Large Paintings' that sit within the main shop. Instead of 'Add to cart' I'd like to have the button say 'Contact Gallery' and have a contact form.
I don't write code so wondering where I might be able to find some who can?
Thanks so much!
