Guest Share Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) Is there already a store locator for the Squarespace platform? Edited September 18, 2012 by Guest Link to post
jasonbarone 12,837 Solution Share Posted September 17, 2012 There is nothing on the shelf that would add that functionality, but with the Developer Platform, you could certainly create something pretty decent with the tools available right now. Kent1570047752 0 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Patrick and Timothy at squarespace set me up with the below locator map of stores or dealers. Paste in your Excel sheet of addresses/names here:http://batchgeo.com/features/store-locator/ It will verify the addresses and give you embed code to just paste into a code block on any squarespace page. The embed code did not work at first, but Timothy modified it to work great:Where you replace all of the xxxxxxxx above with the long random number that batchgeo gives you. Link to post
Caramoor 0 Share Posted March 26, 2014 An awesome solution to this is using donde.io. They can easily integrate with your site and it works on mobile. I've seen a couple sites - here, that use Dónde and it's the best solution I've seen, until Squarespace makes this integrated in. Link to post
Jar Goods 0 Share Posted March 31, 2014 Take a look at Prolo - http://prolofinder.com. It is really easy to use and can be added to any page on your Squarespace site. After adding stores/retailers on Prolo, add a 'code' block to your page and just paste in the Prolo html. Once you publish, the finder will appear on your page. Link to post
highwarlordamer 0 Share Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) I found a handy store locator at http://superstorefinder.net where you can manage and import stores from CSV and finally publish the store locator at your website. It has geo location, Google Street View and directions built in. It’s pretty handy if you want to get customers to your shops the convenient way. jasonbarone 12,837 Share Posted January 31, 2015 http://knackhq.com is a far better solution and can be styled via CSS. Founder at Squarefront, the global community of Squarespace builders. markflet45 0 Share Posted May 19, 2015 (edited) There's also Zen Locator which is newer and works through an embed (you embed it thru a code block on your "find us" page). Store management is done thru the dashboard. Edited January 25, 2016 by markflet45 Link to post
kindle 0 Share Posted May 21, 2015 I've tried Super Store Finder, it has many themes to choose from and can be styled to suit your website. I just imported a CSV with over 1200 stores and it geolocated them perfectly into the database. Link to post
Guest Share Posted March 16, 2016 We evaluated a number of the alternative locators available for Squarespace and each has their pros and cons. In the end, after reviewing a number of commercial services we settled on Store Locator Pro / http://www.storelocatorwidgets.com mostly due to the excellent customer support they provided. johnal 78 Share Posted December 5, 2016 another unique solution is closest locator (https://closestlocator.com/store-locator-app/squarespace). i've found it to be really great and has probably the best mobile responsive locator - it's a bit different from a normal locator - it's placed in the corner of your site and shows web visitors where their nearest store location is right away.
