If you are looking for something more visual, Bedford is the most popular template on Squarespace and allows for embedding a video in the banner https://www.squarespace.com/templates/bedford? You can pull blog posts into the home page on any blog using Summary blocks. You can see an example on my website here: https://www.menadena.com Scroll down to New at Menadena and you will see a Summary block pulled from the Blog, which you can also visit directly in the Main Navigation.
