jordennbb 0 Share Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) I know my GIF loops forever locally, I created it to loop forever, but when I upload it to Squarespace, it works, but it won't loop. I tried it in my header as my logo and in an image block and it acts the same. I am using the Motto template and I'm still in my trial period. Can this be changed with custom code? jordennbb 0 Author Solution Share Posted January 16, 2017 Well. Something was up, because I saved a new GIF from Photoshop and re-uploaded it and it's looping now. Link to post
dangercharles 0 Share Posted February 26, 2017 Unfortunately that's not a real solution.... I'm creating a page with multiple gifs and making them myself in photoshop. I've recreated certain gifs multiple times trying different settings and sizes, re-uploading, etc but I cant see any rhyme or reason as to why a gif will loop or not on a squarespace page. https://dangercharles.com/terrible-creations/ Link to post
geckojoe 0 Share Posted May 9, 2017 I also stumbled into this issue. The solution (for me) was to make sure that every time I 'exported for web' from photoshop the "Loop forever" checkbox was checked. If it is saved and unchecked it will loop forever in preview or possibly other websites however my guess is that Squarespace assumes the Gif will be hardwired to loop. Hope this helps. Link to post
