ScottyJ Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I'm redoing my restaurant's website with Squarespace, BUT I can't find definitive information schema markup. It's really important for local websites, especially local locations, to have to have proper rich snippets microdata for their business. Anyone else successfully using schema on their site?? (other than blog articles, which seem to be the default on SS).
SchemaAppMike Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Hey ScottyJ, With Schema App, you can create schema.org markup and deploy it directly into the SquareSpace script area. You can utilize the FULL schema.org language to get search engines to understand your content. Detailed instructions for schema.org markup with SquareSpace can be found here Thanks!
Guest Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 @SchemaAppMikeThe problem is that the integration of your app with squarespace is off and you have horrible user support that has neither answers nor good manners. Anyone knows how to inject google markup?
vberkel Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Hi @meteteentusasuntos, What exactly do you mean by off? The integration functions on many live websites. The solution relies on a Schema App account. I don't see your name anywhere in our system, is that what you mean by off? If you contacted support@schemaapp.com our team is happy to help. You say we have horrible support but you never sent a message to our mailbox, so how do you know it's horrible? There are a couple posts on the web (e.g. http://searchengineland.com/add-schema-markup-site-using-google-tag-manager-272516 ) that talk about injecting schema markup with google tag manager. You can try that, however, it's data is static and doesn't mention the squarespace specifics. Thanks anyway for your message.Mark, Founder of SchemaApp p.s. SchemaAppMike no longer works here
bimini1 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Its not just schema, there's json-LD, and I don't suggest using any of the plugins, they all show errors on the Google SD Tool. Semanticseosolutions.com has some good answers, happy to help in any way we can. http://semanticseosolutions.com/use-rich-snippets-to-control-your-online-business-data/
bimini1 Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 check the "schema" against the Google SD Testing Tool for starters....
effortlessdigital Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 These paid solutions are fine if you can afford it. A simple solution for Squarespace is to use the Structured data as JSON-LD Markup option when you are done tagging. Once you have tagged the page here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/markup-helper/ simply choose JSON-LD instead of Microdata. You either insert site wide or per page depending on your layout, or both as I have done. You can check for yourself once you are done. An example can be seen here: https://www.denverlikealocaltours.com/
Greg_Beddor Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 The Schema App looks pretty cool, but the only options are all paid, and recurring monthly. It would be nice if there was a one time charge option to purchase a license. Howdy! I'm Greg Beddor a [Portland SEO][1] Consultant, web developer and [search engine optimization specialist][2].
