Guest
Hey, I'm not sure if this is directly what you are looking for, however I have put together a tutorial that explains how to track events in Google Tag Manager. The tutorial specifically focuses on form submissions, but the process could be applied to any event you want to track. Let me know how you get on with it:http://www.atomicmarketing.co/blog/track-squarespace-form-submissions-using-google-tag-manager Link to comment
ask4adam
The method on atomic marketing does not work either. Why has Squarespace not come up with an easy solution similar to the one they have for Google Analytics? Link to comment
Guest
@ pappasp_1 I followed the article you listed: http://yoweb.co.uk/yo-blog/google-tag-manager-how-to-add-to-squarespace-template It worked for me perfectly well. No issues on web, mobile, or tablet pages. Here's what I did: Step 1: Remember to change the 'XXXXXX' in the 'GTM-XXXXXX' to your GTM code though! For both Step 1 and Step 2 Paste this in the Header section of Code Injection in Squarespace. Step 2: Paste this snippet of code in the Footer section in Squarespace Code Injection. Remove the Google Analytics Tracking ID if you've added it in the Settings > Advanced > External Services, Google Analytics area. This is not needed as the Google Tag Manager will directly be using the code you've just added to directly use Google Analytics data. Voila! You're all set. p.s Use Google Tag Assistant to check if your tags that you've set up in Google Tag Manager are working! I referred to this video to set up a quick tag: Link to comment
Guest
Seems squarespace took away my code but just refer to: http://yoweb.co.uk/yo-blog/google-tag-manager-how-to-add-to-squarespace-template for the steps regarding placement of each snippet of code. Link to comment
Guest
For now you have to use the code injection, and then unlink Google Analytics. I wrote a post about it... hopefully it's useful! https://www.paulacastillo.co/seo-and-analytics-blog/google-tag-manager-squarespace Link to comment
Jacob_Heitmann
Hi! I'm having the same problem but your links doesn't work to your guides. I've been with chat support but they can't help me, do you know a good guide that will make Googe Tag Manager to work? Link to comment

GlynMusica
This thread seems to be full of spam but in case it isn't GTM can be added with SETTINGS / ADVANCED / CODE INJECTION / And you can add to the header and footer as per GTM instructions. We actually add it to the footer to help with page loading times, and because we don't have any codes that need to fire in the header inside our GTM. You can also add this to the header: <link rel='preconnect' href="//googletagmanager.com" crossorigin> We provide digital marketing services for businesses that need exposure/sales from search and social media networks. BeatriceG
Hi All I managed to successfully inject GTM code under SETTINGS / ADVANCED / CODE INJECTION / but when it came to LAUNCH A PREVIEW Tag Manager could not connect to a tag on my domain. Has anyone experienced the same? thank you Link to comment
edharris
We get questions about Google Tag Manager installation on Squarespace a lot so we updated our how-to guide for setting up and installing a GTM container. We're also adding to our section on limitations with GTM and Squarespace (e.g. if you want to use Google Analytics and ecommerce conversion tracking via GTM you're out of luck). Suggested additions to that limitations section welcome! https://www.bluehillsdigital.com/articles/google-tag-manager-squarespace/ Link to comment
