Embedding code from Society6

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I'm trying to embed some code from Society6 to display prints for sale on my Squarespace site.

The code:

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
s6_user = "mattmatthew";
s6_format = "300x250";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://society6.com/js/show_banner.js">
</script>

I'm having some issues getting it to show. I've attempted to use both the code block and embed block features, but with no luck. Can anyone offer some advice to address this problem?

Aloha,Matt

Hi Matt

The embed code does work! The screenshot of the embed on my test site is belowalt text

If the image is not visible check this http://i.imgur.com/8Lm0048.png

Instructions

How to go about it (it is long therefore brace up! :-) )

  1. On the page where you want to embed the code.
  2. Click on an Insert Point to add the Code Block.
  3. Select embed
  4. In the pop-up titled "EDIT EMBDED", hover the mouse at the right end of the text box and you should see "</>". Click on it.
  5. This would open another pop-up titled "EDIT EMBED DATA".
  6. In the multi-line text box paste the Society6 code
  7. Click set.
  8. In the "EDIT EMBED" pop-up click the save button.
  9. Click the save button to save the changes made to the page.
  10. Since a script has been embedded log out of the squarespace admin and visit the page you embedded code in.
  11. "tadaah" the code should work.

If for some reason the steps do not work let me know and I will try and walk you through the process.

Hi Pali,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I tried the steps you suggested above, and as it stands the code is embedded in my page. However, after logging out and reloading the page, nothing comes up. I've even tried to dump my cache (assuming it was the browser not refreshing updates on past pages), but even that didn't work. Any other thoughts?

Matt
