bueller Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) Hello! I purchased my domain (buelcreative.com) through Google Domains, which is now managed through Squarespace Domains. My domain is currently directing to my Showit website, but I want it to point to the new website I’ve built in Squarespace (buel-creative.squarespace.com). I followed the "move domain" prompts in the Squarespace dashboard to connect it to my Squarespace site. The dashboard shows it as connected, but when I check the domain itself, it still shows my older Showit site. Additionally, my Showit dashboard indicates that the domain is still connected there. I’m unsure how to troubleshoot this. Is it just a waiting game for the DNS settings to propagate, or is there something else I need to adjust? I just purchased my Squarespace subscription and am eager to get my new site launched. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much. Edited November 29 by bueller
derricksrandomviews Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) Your domain is "under construction", and your SSL is still connected to your Showit site. I think you may need to reload your Squarespace defaults. First, make sure your domain and your website are in the same billing account. Go to your domain management panel: https://domains.squarespace.com/ you may have to log back in, and then click manage domains. Choose the domain and then DNS in the left panel. Delete the defaults on the right by clicking the red trash can icon. Now go to your website configuration and click the gear icon at the bottom of the panel. Choose domains/email at the top of the left panel, then domains, and "use a domain I own". Type it in and follow the prompts from there. Edited November 30 by derricksrandomviews
