Commerce 

Create BOGO discounts for your store 

At long last, you can create “buy X, get Y” discounts on your online store, just in time for the holiday season. You can customize the discount to apply to specific products or product categories and choose whether you want your customers to get an amount off, percentage off, or a free item. This discount type can be set to trigger automatically when a customer orders the relevant product or with an offer code. 

This discount type is available on 7.0 and 7.1 sites that are on the Commerce Advanced plan. Please note, it can’t be used for subscription and digital products or gift cards.

Adjust the price of subscription products 

Sellers can now edit the price of their subscription products and choose whether to apply the change to all subscribers or just future subscribers. If you apply the price change to all, existing subscribers will automatically receive an email about the price change. 

Before this update, customers had to resubscribe if you wanted to change a subscription’s price.

Categorize donations with multiple funds

If you collect donations through Squarespace, you can now create up to 50 funds to better categorize and merchandise them. Each fund can have its own name, suggested donation amounts, and recurring donation cadence. If you accept contributions for different causes, you can compare revenue by fund to understand how each is performing. You can connect a fund to its own donation block or connect multiple to the same block to be displayed in a dropdown menu.

For example, if you run an animal shelter, you can set up separate funds for supplies and adoption efforts. 

Before this update, it was only possible to collect donations under one general fund.

Free Domain Name Generator tool 

The new Domain Name Generator tool uses AI to create a list of available domains based on details you provide about your site or project. You can tailor the list to make it more reflective of your brand personality by choosing from one of the following themes: neutral, playful, professional, friendly, informative, and quirky.

Free Image Resizer tool 

With the new Image Resizer tool, you can crop and resize your images to fit common dimensions. After you upload your photo(s), you can choose the dimensions you want it cropped to with one click. There are options for popular social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and Snapchat) and other common aspect ratios. 

Please note, the tool supports .jpg, .jpeg, and .png files.
