Switching domain from old site to new site on Squarespace

I am having a hard time figuring out why I cant transfer my domain from my old Squarespace site to my new one? I tried following along on the info pages Squarespace provided but still cannot resolve the issue. First off when I go to the "Domain" page on the home page of Squarespace it says "There are no domains" (example image below). Second I checked if I purchased my domain from Squarespace and I did. Third is when I go to my old site, go to the domain section page, there is no "move domain to another site". I also tried clicking on the domain that I am already using/own on my old site in order to take me to the page where I can transfer my current domain to my new site and it just takes me to an infinitely loading screen with a little black square where nothing has popped up for a long time. 

Appreciate anyone that might have any info on what is goin on here and can help fix the issue that I am experiencing.

You may have two Squarespace accounts, one with the new site and one with the old site and your domain. If this is the case, you must have the same permissions for both sites.  

• When moving a domain from site to site, you need site owner or Administrator permissions on both sites.

Thank you for providing your support as its been a bit tricky/still have not heard back from Squarespace yet regarding the issue that I am having. 

After doing some further investigating I do not believe that I made two separate Squarespace. When I made my new site I purchased the new site subscription using my current account that I have always used.

Its strange that even when I go to click the domain page, on the home page site, nothing pops up at all. Not even my domain that is being used/that I purchased for my older site which is still running and active until I can switch my domain over to my newly built site. 

Here is another confusing thing I found if you can provide more insight on that would be very helpful.

That screen indicates that you don't have permission level to manage the domain, but where you would request access if you don't have two accounts or multiple contributor levels is the question that needs to be answered.

You can't see your domain in the older site configuration?
