Social media icons showing up twice!

I apologise for not knowing which post this is from. I am new and have trouble navigating to my previous comments on posts. If anyone can help with that, I wold appreciate it. I am not a newbie at tech, but this forum is confusing to navigate. I can find my posts ok, but I guess I should have commented on this one.

I used a custom script from here to add social media icons to my header and footer pages. But unfortunately they are now posting twice! I've attached a screen shot, I would post the code but I can't find it on my website!

This doesn't look like a script, it looks like you have added the links twice especially since they are there twice for both the header and social block, can you check under social links?

Thanks for your response, Paul. They are only there once in the header and once in the footer, I'll show you in two screenshots.

Yes. This is the script I put in the code injection window.

When I edit the social media block, it shows only two images, Facebook and Instagram. But when I save it, it shows 4 images.

Can you try temporarily removing this and seeing if the issue persists?

Hi Ziggy,

I've removed the script and decided to go with Elfsight. I can see myself using their other scripts. The only snag is that they are hard to position properly, at least e one that I tried. But otherwise they look great.
