thank you for your reply. The compressed image is 168KB once uploaded on the website it is 422KB.

In which format? from my experience, Squarespace png size is huge compare to the jpg counterparts

The format with the most significant size variation is .png, as I require the image to feature a transparent background. While jpeg images show a smaller difference, they still increase in size and impact my SEO.
