Recommended Posts

Today I stopped receiving emails at my custom domain, when I checked the domains page I noticed that it was not there. I paid for my domain a month ago and now it got stolen? How? Support does not answer... When I do a whois lookup it says that is registered by "Key-Systems GmbH" what is this?

Key-systems is a domain seller to Google, which sold it to you. Many of these domains have had the same issue as yours, they do not show in an account,  due to the Google domains merger/migration to Squarespace. You may be able to log into Squarespace with your Google account login and password; the domain may be visible. If not you will need to contact Squarespace customer support and I suggest you contact Key-Systems support as well. Here is their contact information,

Hi Derrick! Thanks for your answer, I got many automated responses from squarespace saying that "they are escalating the situation" but nothing else. Given that I paid for my domain and suddenly stopped working it is a big issue, all my email and sites are down which stops my business and hurts branding too... I have a squarespace account from a long time and my domains got transferred from Google successfully like 4 months ago, I even renew the majority including the one with the problem (and most important). But to just stop working suddenly it's just unbearable...

Key-Systems may not be able to help because they were working  We have found that if you publish the domains here on the forum it may speed the recovery up.

As a retired businessman who ran a tech company for 25 years, if I were still operating, and had this issue I would seriously consider purchasing a block of domains directly from Squarespace to get my sites back up. For example, if my domain is a .com I would buy the .net for all of them. This will have a cost, but downtime costs also.
