Social links not showing up in header and footer

Hi there!

It's been awhile since I've used Squarespace and so not used to all the updates. 

I have taken over a site for a client. I noticed that their social links are no longer showing up in the header and footer of their pages. They, of course, show up in the editor but not on the live page though when you pass your cursor over them, you are able to click on something you cannot see. So I suspect it is a color issue perhaps? But not sure how to fix. I did go into Color and tried to change the social links colors but doesn't seem to do anything. Looking for some advice, thanks!

With Header, it looks like you haven't enabled Header Icons yet. You can check again. Or do you have a screenshot in edit mode?
