Alabbassi Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Hi, I’m facing an issue and can’t seem to find a solution. My primary domain (www.www.alabbassi.net) is from Google and connected to my website, but it’s still showing the "Coming Soon" mode. However, the website is public and live when accessed through the secondary domain (alabbassi.squarespace.com). I’ve verified all the points to ensure the domain is connected properly, but I can’t figure out why the website isn’t showing as live on the primary domain (www.www.alabbassi.net).
derricksrandomviews Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Normally, once you see the word connected or active in your domains panel, the site is also up. Since the Google merger, that is not always the case. The good news is, it is very possible for you to fix this yourself. Go to your domains management panel here: https://domains.squarespace.com/ you my need to log in, and click manage domains. Choose your domain, then DNS in the left panel. On the right delete the defaults using the red trashcan icon. Now go to your website configuration panel, choose the gear icon at the bottom, choose domains/email at the top of the page, on the right choose "use a domain I own" then type in the domain name and follow the directions from there. The site should come up with both the www.domain and without the www. Give it a few minutes if it does not this may need to be done more than once,
masbe Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Should I delete all google defaults DNS?? not only squarespace?? I have the same problem and I have deleted only the squarespace ones and when I go to "use a domain I own" it says that the domain is already on used. What should I do? thanks
