arg132 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Site URL: http://www.goodseedcraftco.com I am trying to sell a downloadable PDF via my site, but I would like for it to be purchasable as a gift and sent to the recipient, possibly with some sort of gift message. I've looked and looked, but can't seem to find a streamlined way to do this. I see that some people have had to create is as a Service product, collect the email via a form, and manually send the PDF, however this seems like way too much to try and manage effectively. It seems bizarre that Squarespace would not have this feature. Any advice on how to do this effectively would be appreciated.
paul2009 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Squarespace does not support gifting of digital products by allowing buyers to specify a recipient email address at checkout. There isn't a better way than the manual workaround you have described. For the gifting of digital products, I would recommend SendOwl as an alternative to the Squarespace checkout. They have an article about Enabling gift orders. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. I value honesty, transparency, diversity and good design ♥.
