Hello,

I was just informed that the header and body of my site are not aligned and the body of the site isn't filling the screen when viewing it on a wide monitor (see screenshot below). The person commenting did not specify the monitor size he was using. Here are my current settings:

Page Width (Max) - 1400px

Site Margin - 4vw

Heading Base Size - 16px

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

Hi @WHarrison I am viewing this on windows chrome, and tested various sizes, zoom level and wideness. I cannot reproduce what you are seeing in the screenshot.

Your website content is centrally aligned, so I see no reason why it would look left-aligned as per your screenshot.

If you can get more information from the person that was experiencing the issue, maybe we can help you better.

@melody495 Here is what they said about their setup:

No special settings on my desktop, but it's a 3840 x 2160 resolution — I tested your website on my laptop though and it looks great!

I guess that's 4K? Are there adjustments needed for that?

For higher resolution/wider screens, I would recommend setting your page width to be 1920px minimum. This general responds better.

But do you need to accommodate for wider screens? Is your target audience typically using a wide screen?

As much as you can try and optimise for all screen sizes, it wouldn't be possible as there are a lot of them. The best thing to do is optimise for your target audience.
