azBob Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Hi. I bought a domain yesterday and setup domain forwarding which worked. Then I found out, I needed to change the forwarding and i did that. It didn't work. It's been 24 hours. So how do I get a refund for that domain name? There doesn't seem to any way to contact customer service, if there even is any and the contact page, just loops. Thank you for your help.
DanielBrockman Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I find no evidence of any human customer service agent, yet on the main page SS says "We’re here to help Our award-winning Customer Support Team is available 24/7. If you have any questions, please visit support.squarespace.com." That's perhaps a joke, or a cynical sarcasm. I have a similar trouble with email forwarding, and I'm ordering the domain transfered to registrar hover.com, where human customer service agents will even talk or chat with you about your situation and help you with it. If you decide to transfer to some other registrar, you will have to request (fully automated, of course) an authorization code from SS so the other registrar can initiate the process. SS will send you an email with the auth code in slightly small inconspicuous font on the first line of a longer paragraph. You give the auth code to the other registrar. The other registrar initiates the transfer process. Almost instantaneously, SS sends you an email saying they have received a request for transfer from another registrar, and SS will require 10 days to start the process (which is their legal right), but its a lie, because they could fully automate that, too, and the whole thing could be accomplished in a few minutes, if only there were customer service at SS. Good luck. Dan
