Just as an FYI if you are in the UK and using the integratiobn between Squarespace and the Royal Mail Click & Drop.

My orders would not come through so followed basic how to guide, disconnect reconnect and the site would not reconnect. There was a green icon before saying it was connected.

You can contact Royal Mail Click & Drop support at 03457 740 740, they put me into the C&Drop team who said they knew the link was not working even though the status page was showing green.

No time for a resolution but still down for me.

Could this be why i cannot link sqaurespace and my OBA account? ive tried linking it but it doesnt even appear, the extension appears in my extensions but nothing on RM C&D

Same symptoms for click and drop, so assuming it is.

The person I spoke to suggested it was the link to Squarespace across all RM

Squarespace Royal Mail integration was working OK yesterday, but not today. I even tried deleting the website integration on my Royal Mail Click & Drop site and guess what? I can't even set it back up now! I'm presuming it's a Royal Mail issue.

I suggest that Royal Mail are an organisation that is economical with the truth when it comes to their system availability. Clearly there is an issue and clearly it is system wide, the support person I called yesterday (had to get Copilot AI to find their number as it was very well hidden) said the service update page should be updated to reflect the outage.

Is there anywhere that Squarespace integration to 3rd party tools can be rated and suggestions for improvement logged. Squarespace could even allocate a star rating based on the level of integration.

It would be great if the Click and drop didnt bring all items from the store, we sell print on demand as well as some calendars, and it brings everything into its order system, If it could be selected to only where fulfilment is Royal Mail it would be easier to use.

I imagine this is a squarespace issue rather than RM, since other platforms seem to be still working with RM integration without issue, and the click and drop service checker itself isn’t showing any issues.

obviously Sqsp will pass the buck like they always do, but they’ve clearly disconnected something.

pretty sure this is the final straw for me using this platform. Everything is a battle. Hoenstly, it’s 2024, How do you operate within the UK and still not have the UK’s largest postal carrier as standard integration.

I feel your pain, but when I called RM tech support, they said it was a problem their end.  As to integration, having worked in IT for 35 years, much of that as a freelance contractor, Royal Mail doesnt have the best track record when it comes to working with 3rd parties (or even internal departments).  You only have to look at their level of support to anyone using their service (and this is without getting involved in the tech) and its pretty poor. I have had tracked 24 and pre 1am go missing, with no solution as to why or where, and they make you claim compensation by filling a form in and posting it.

I know Squarespace has the odd glitch but I have been around since the early days and have never had any gripes, their support is always great and worked with me to find solutions.

Same problem for me. My orders weren't pulling through from Squarespace to RM yesterday, and I hoped it was just a glitch that would correct itself overnight. I was wrong! I, too, decided to delete the integrations, in the hope that adding them again would solve the problem. I'm not able to re-add them.

Just spoke to RM and they said they're currently talking to Squarespace about the problem and to keep checking the status page for an update – I'm not sure whether they mean RM's status page or Squarespace's. The latter is not showing an error of any kind.

No orders through yesterday or today. Bad this...Bigger things in the world but this is a long time, and creating a big backlog of orders to ship. I tried downloading the orders as a spreadsheet and uploading to RM, which kind of worked but messed up the content of each order. If you're only doing single items, that should work. Just make sure you mark them as fulfilled in SS.

I just tried this again — exported orders within a date range from Squarespace. Carefully mapped all the columns in RM having imported the file — it talks you through it kind of. Once done, all is there as it should be. It's a massive faff and will add probably an hour to each day for me, but it means I can pack and post orders. Not sure where the issue is along the chain but over time I've had way more problems with RM than SS...

My name is Jonas and I am a Product Specialist here in Squarespace. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

We have brought this to our engineering teams and the issue should now be fixed.

I just tried relinking and it has now established a connection.

Orders from Squarespace now appear in Click and drop.

Im going to work on a backup process for my site, that I can test just in case this happens again.  Thankfully, we are only selling physical products (calendars) and have less than 200 to go before I wont need the link again until the same time next year.
