Richard4485 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I noticed squarespace have new function you can change your add to cart buttom become a purchase buttom which can jump straight to check out page without add to chart. However it can't have these two buttom at the same time because this setting will change the only add to cart buttom into purchase buttom. How can i have both of them at the same page?
KristineNeilStudio Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) @Richard4485 - the Express Checkout option changes the text of the Add to Cart button to "Purchase" but it's core functionality is to bypass the cart: Express checkout disabled: add to cart button -> cart -> checkout Express checkout enabled: purchase button -> checkout You can change the text of any add to cart button regardless of whether or not you have Express Checkout enabled in any product details settings (see attached screenshot). You can't have "both" buttons because they're essentially just the same button and it's just the action of skipping the cart that's changed if toggled on. Having two buttons side-by-side that said "Add to Cart" and "Purchase" would probably just lead to confused customers and lower conversion rates. You want to make it as clear as possible what happens when that button is clicked and provide one singular CTA. Hope this helps explain this feature!
