LoBarrie Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I'm looking for assistance in adding a search function to a hidden section of my client’s website, which is designed for the trade industry (interior designers, architects, etc.). The trade shop is password-protected via a trade portal, and there’s a large volume of products, making it difficult for users to navigate. After browsing through various forums, I haven’t found a clear solution—so it seems this feature may not be possible. If that’s the case, could anyone recommend an alternative way to help reduce user overwhelm and improve product filtering?

Could anyone recommend an alternative way to help reduce user overwhelm and improve product filtering? Have you looked at the excellent Universal Filter paid plugin (affiliate link)? I use this product on Squarespace stores as it enhances the product filtering options and includes a search function to search any text inside items on your page. You'll find this mentioned in lots of similar forum posts. If you're looking for a better search solution across the site, see this thread. Did this help? Felix_DNH Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Thank you for mentioning Monocle, @paul2009. @LoBarrie, our search plugin Monocle is now able to also search password protected member pages. I have no idea how easy that would be to adapt to your case – do you have a link to the site?
LoBarrie Posted October 30 Author Posted October 30 @paul2009 Universal filter works! Thank you SO much for the recommendation. However, now my client doesn't want any of the filtering options, just the search bar. But when I disabled all of the filter options, I'm left without a shop menu at all. How do I revert back to the old Squarespace shop menu while *keeping* the search function from UniversalFilter?
