Issue with Subdomain forwarding

Hello, I set up forwarding for a subdomain. I manage the domain through Squarespace (thanks Google!). The website for the domain is not on Squarespace, it is on podpage. The subdomain was on Ghost.

We changed the name of the Ghost site and want to forward the subdomain to the new domain. I set up the subdomain forward (not working yet) but when I choose "Maintain Paths" so my links will all work, and press save, Squarespace will not save the path forwarding. It just reverts to "Do not forward"

Anyone encounter and whoop this issue before?
