Member and discount when subscribing a second time

Hi there,
I have a question from a client that I can't find an answer on the help or forum. 
I created a member site for yoga subscriptions with a monthly or quaterly price. 
I also created an automatic discount at checkout of -25% on the first payment for both prices (monthly and quaterly). 
Here is the question 🙂 : 
- Let's say I have a member subscribing for a few months (so this member created an account with a certain email),
- After few months, this member unsubscribes
- and one year later, they resubscribe using the same email on the monthly or quaterly, 

Will they benefit again of the automatic discount of -25% when subscribing the second time? or will squarespace recognised them as a previous member customer and won't apply the discount?

@MarieFio The discount will be applied to the first payment of any subscription, including subsequent subscriptions.
