discount code email

After creating the discount code...Squarespace/Acuity suggested I send out some test emails with the code. Squarespace/Acuity created this beautiful email with a "shop now" button. The review order appeared after choosing the service intended and a window to apply the discount code appeared. So it all went smooth, but I could only find the apply code window when shopping through the "test" email. If I go straight to the website and choose the intended service, make the order, the apply code window does not appear nor does review order, That I can find anyways. So I need help. I can not find this beautiful email with the shop now button so that I can send it to those I want to. I tried to recreate it but failed, not sure how to apply shop now button, so discount can be applied and it seems the graphics are not available in template form... please.....

Adding my voice as well, for it does not make sense and I agree, I would prefer a choice on whether or not collecting cc info for a free gift/service. Being a requirement is off-putting, agreed, feels more like prying not a free gift as I would like to intend. Please Squarespace/Acuity fix this. How can I utilize the test email with the shop now button so that the apply code window appears, where do I find it and use it not as a test but for legit. There was not requirement of credit card info in the test email, it worked as it should, but not in the real world, why not? please help
