Unable to connect Google workspace to Domain

Hi there,

I brought a domain through GoDaddy and have transferred it to Squarespace to push my site live.

I am now trying to set up my professional email through google and it wants to verify the domain. 

But whenever I add the custom code, or try to just add the Google Workspace preset, it won't connect.

Any help please!
