SnackMaverick Posted October 8 Posted October 8 My .earth domain was transferred into Squarespace after Google Domains closed down. I would like to transfer it out to my web host as their renewal costs are cheaper and I don't particularly want to be attached to a new domain provider. I've tried transferring out and nothing happened. When I asked my hosting company why the transfer wouldn't go ahead, they said that the domain has a premium tag attached to it, meaning that it cannot be transferred. Is there any way for me to remove this premium tag, or am I trapped in Squarespace now?
derricksrandomviews Posted October 8 Posted October 8 (edited) This may help: Transferring premium domain names can sometimes work differently. Select domains are listed as Premiums by their respective registries. Premium domains can only be transferred to registrars which are accredited for Premium domain names- so if your outgoing transfer is failing, please make sure that your gaining registrar is able to support Premium domain names. Some TLDs require a specific accreditation, and not all premium accredited registrars are accredited for each Premium TLD. Edited October 8 by derricksrandomviews
