smatista Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Hi all! I am trying to use the copy+paste functionality that everyone is so excited about in Squarespace 7.1, but it doesn't seem to be working on blog posts. I know I can't add sections to blog posts (ridiculous?), but I can add blocks. So I don't know why copying a block and pasting it to another page works on pages, but not on blog posts. Is this just a thing, or am I doing it wrong? For context, I want to put testimonials at the bottom of each team member's post using the summary block, but I don't want to have to change all the content and design settings every time. See attached. Thanks in advance!
Solution CassAggett Posted October 8 Solution Posted October 8 @smatista I would recommend duplicating the actual blog post, then reworking the content above the testimonial blocks if you don't want to recreate them. Copying blocks is only available within Fluid Engine sections (blog posts are created with Classic Editor), and even then, the copying must be done within the same page. bycrawford 1 Instruction: How to set a site-wide password If this helped you, please like or mark my solution as answer so others can scroll to it quickly 👆 Cass Aggett is a Squarespace website designer for go-getting women – no matter what stage of business. Yes - if I had realized this before creating all the pages that would have been ideal 🤣

In that case, I recommend writing down the settings you've got for the testimonial section in a blank Word doc (if you've got two screens) or on a piece of paper, so that way you can go through the others to adjust them all without having to go back and forth trying to remember everything and make sure it's the same 😊 Instruction: How to set a site-wide password If this helped you, please like or mark my solution as answer so others can scroll to it quickly 👆 Cass Aggett is a Squarespace website designer for go-getting women – no matter what stage of business.
