Custom Domain Problems after Google Domain Transition

We have been on Squarespace since the beginning, but our domain was originally hosted on Google. Around the first of October, we began having issues with our custom domain.  Currently, none of our base domains are working, so we have the site redirect to harvestreturns.squarespace.com. This is workable, but our ads and SEO are having major problems, and that is costing us money. Squarespace support has been completely unresponsive. I need someone to tell me in non-technical terms what we need to do to get our custom domain running again.

First, remove the forwarding and check again. If the site does not come up:

Go here: Squarespace Domains choose the domain, choose DNS on the left panel then delete the records on the right. Exit and go to website management, click the gear icon at the bottom of the page, then domains and email then domains on the right, and last choose "use a domain I own", and follow the prompts from there. This should work right away, but sometimes these directions need to be followed a couple of times.

Looks like the DNS records didn't connect and stay that way. Follow the procedure again.
