Site URL: https://sites.google.com/mr-ms.de/login/home

My website is now published via this link and it works:

My active domain is this one:
mr-ms.de

But when I enter mr-ms.de , my website is not showing.

I went to Google Admin console and in the 'Mangage domains' section, clicked on 'View Details' on my 'Primary Domain' and after redirecting to 'MANAGE DOMAIN (via Squarespace)' ,when I click on 'mr-ms.de' domain, in website section, chose 'Connect existing website'. But then a window pops up with this message: 'There are no eligible sites to connect a domain to on this account.'

Please help me to show my website through this link: mr-ms.de

Thank you for your time.

I have been having this problem forever and no one is helping. I searched and tried everything, but no Squarespace support team member is fixing this for me.

Can someone from the Squarespace support team with access to change please fix this issue for us?

This is the exact problem I am having. My site is published and I "own" the domain, so why is my site not linked to my domain....

The image you attached is the same options that I see as well, and no one has been helpful. Ugh!

Please tell me if you found the solution for this problem 😞

Ahoy @MrMs and @MarissaP - I found a few forum entries on Google. One person said:

There are 2 reasons that you cannot see the custom domain option in Google Sites:

  1. You use Google Workspace so you need to add the custom domain from the Google Workspace admin panel - see the link below:
  2. If you do not use Google Workspace it means you're not signed in to the site as the site owner - only the site owner can add a custom domain, so sign out and back in as the owner.

For those who had the same issue. I had to follow the below steps (Domain is registered with G Suite, and site developed on sites.google.com)

1) Custom URL Settings.

a) Login onto your G Suite account and visit https://admin.google.com/ac/apps/sites/address .

b) Click on "+" icon and enter "Google sites url". Example, sites.google.com/MYDOMAIN.COM/XYZ. Click next.

c) Enter "www" (or leave it empty if you don't want www) in "

Choose a custom URL from your verified domains" and click next. Click on "Add Custom URL"

2) DNS Settings

a) Visit "domains.google.com" and click on "DNS"

b) In Manage Custom records, enter data as shown in the screenshot (For "A" records, I have marked out the values i.e ip addresses as I am not sure whether they are safe to share or not, but I got these values after contacting support via chat). Click "Save".

3) Wait for the Custom URL added in https://admin.google.com/ac/apps/sites/address to get approved.

Let me know if either approach works for you!

Dear @vicking,

in account.squarespace.com/domains I added a custom record to point to ghs.googlehosted.com for CNAME (below attached picture),

and then made the custom URL in admin consule>apps>google workspace>sites and waited for the pending process and now it's status has the error of Invalid DNS!(below attached picture)

What should I do now?
Thanks a lot for your guidance dear @vicking

@MrMs a DNS lookup shows you've got an A record and an AAAA record for the www subdomain - try deleting those, waiting a bit, and seeing if it resolves on the Google side.

You could also try deleting and re-adding the custom URL on the Google side.

If that doesn't work, I'm stumped. Have you reached out to Google Workspace support about this? 'Cause it's really more of a Google question than a Sqsp one.

Good luck!

Dear @vicking,

I deleted all of the DNS records from Squarespace and added the CNAME record again, then the problem was finally solved,!

I really appreciate your guidance and help to solve this issue.

Sincere regards from Mr. & Ms. Team

That's great to hear, @MrMs! When you get a chance, could you mark my earlier post as the solution? 🙏
