mapa09
Hi today squarespace people ! For me it's fascinating to analyzing big sites who dominate google seo, when users type in google their brand name then multiple serp listings (form one domain) coming up in google include subdomains, examples; bloomberg, Hubspot.....take a look at bloomberg.com/europe a big conten thub would a squarespace site will load fast with this numbers of blocks? But I not saw 1 squarespace site who has multiple serp listings how can that be? Yep some have google sitelinks but that's not the same. Multiple serp listings site most of them are wordpress or the expensive cms models the big media sites using like Sitecore. Type in google Tyffany women rings or something and you will see how they dominate google seo. But not with squarespace- why ? My theory is; a) most squarespace users not set their categories to index, dofollow.? b) squarespace categories are not dynamic, their are static ? c) you can't build seo intern linked structure in categoires with squarespace ? I like squarespace more easy to use than the complicated wordpress today, I hope to find some answers here why squarespace sites not get multiple serp listings? mapa09
I think I found it out..... In squarespace you must create a page (static) then you must create categories and add blog block to it. Correct me if I'm wrong. The catch with this is in that way, categories are not per se dynamic like as in Wordpress ( an example). That's s the problem . Look at bloomberg.com/europe a big category content hub = dynamic and all other topic are categories too, indexed with dofollow in the robots.txt file where you not have access in squarespace. All categories are well interlinked together. This is why they get multiple serp listings or type in Google Tiffany women rings, Google first page is full with the Tiffanys website categories. That is why a squarespace website will not gain multiple serp listings ,the same for other website builders. Damm I like squarespace so easy to use,but today doing branding your name out and not get multiple serp listings when users doing brand intent search is a big no, you will get lost in Google SEO when you have only one listing showing up.
