Hello!

I am looking to display a slideshow gallery vertically while also be able to adjust the display image size to match my horizontal galleries. I am using a Lightbox plugin (Beyondspace Lightbox Studio) which requires using a lightbox-enabled Slideshow block to work as instructed by this tutorial

Here is my website: https://www.lucasano.com/test6

I’ve attached a screenshot below to illustrate how I’d like the slideshow to be displayed. The vertical gallery block in question is on the bottom left, and to the right is an image block I added to represent the desired size for the gallery block display. I am essentially wanting to fill in the image to the block.

In short: I want to mix images with various aspect ratio (3:2 and 2:3) into a custom grid and open separate lightbox galleries upon clicking the images

Thank you!

Hi Luke

The height is decided by the widest image, so the height of slideshow is determined by the 3:2 ratio images, thus lead to the look you see. Check

Hi Luke, are those galleries supposed to open seperate lightbox galleries?

If so I suggest you create custom grid using image blocks and use Lightboxify URLs to enable that instead of using the Slideshow

I have sent you email reply regarding to this, how to update Lightbox Studio, etc...

Complete answer

I believe you have followed the hidden lightbox gallery tutorial that turn Slideshow block into Lightbox gallery, but I have something better to offer now

Recent update of Lightbox Studio allows you to insert dynamic galleries lightbox via Lightboxify URLs, and you can add the URLs to Image blocks' clickthrough links to open seperate lightbox gallery upon click

You can check the demo layout where different image blocks with various aspect ratio combined into a custom grid using Fluid Engine, see tutorial
