Zaff_26
Hi I have recently had a drop in organic search traffic and and I've realised that my site speed has lowered siginificantly. Not sure if they are actually related but I am trying to cover everything. I've attached a screenshot of my sites report from GSC Is there anything I can do to improve site speed on SS? I have scaled down all the images on my page and they are not that large A particularly important page is https://novasmiles.co.uk/conditions/pericoronitis-wisdom-tooth-pain Page speed insights: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-novasmiles-co-uk-conditions-pericoronitis-wisdom-tooth-pain/krt22740gp?utm_source=search_console&form_factor=mobile&hl=en Thanks for your help in advance! Hi, have you gone through the diagnostics and implemented the changes yet? From what I'm seeing (and understanding) you can still do some polishing on the images, however, JavaScript, CSS are at the top of the list. @SEOSpace_Henry is also the person to follow and check in with regards to anything SEO 🙂 I'd also sign up to his YouTube channel if I were you. rohannnnn
We have build a tool for SquareSpace speed optimization and you can install it in just 5 minutes from here - https://websitespeedy.com/squarespace-speed-optimization.php It has a free plan as well. We are in talks with Squarespace to launch on its official app marketplace as well. Link to comment
mark-exaviaroo0
Hi, I wanted to bring to your attention that we’ve been experiencing some slow loading times on our site. I understand how frustrating this can be for users and could impact overall experience. Could we look into optimizing the site’s performance? It might be beneficial to check things like image sizes, caching settings, or any scripts that may be causing delays. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to finding a solution! Link to comment

Thanks will have a watch. I am very non-technical with code and sites so once I get into that report it takes me a long time to figure out (if I can) what specifically I need to do! Link to comment

It can be overwhelming, especially if you're more focused on the creative side of things. I find it helpful to connect with people who specialize in areas where I'm less confident—it can save a lot of time and headaches 🙂. I mentioned the SEOSpace Plugin for Squarespace for a reason. It makes identifying issues quick, easy, and straightforward. Check out this video by @philpallen (I hope I'm tagging the right person- the name is correct, though) who does a great job of breaking down how the process works. Scan your site here to get a better overview of what needs fixing 🙂. While you're at it, be sure to check out their resources page—there’s a lot of helpful info there. Lastly, when you sign up for your free account, make sure you're subscribed to the SEOSpace Plugin newsletter. One big benefit is that you can ask any SEO-related questions to a community focused entirely on SEO. Through the newsletter, you can see what community members are asking and answers to questions you might also be asking. @SEOSpace_Henry drops his wisdom and help there too so you'll be in great hands. Keep up the great work! Feel free to ask if you have any questions—I'll do my best to help or point you in the right direction 🙂. Cheers from Berlin! Link to comment
