jakesamwalker
Site URL: https://designedbyjake.squarespace.com/ I'm working on a concept portfolio site, and learning about adding custom coding for specific purposes. I added a dark mode plugin, but my home page section background is the Squarespace responsive gradient, which obviously doesn't use colour theme styles and therefore isn't affected by the dark mode switch. I wanted to ask if there was a way to change the colours of the responsive gradient when the dark mode is activated? Hopefully that question makes sense! tuanphan
I don't have code to change gradient color, but you can consider this approach Add 2 same section with different gradient color then I can give you code to show 1 section on normal mode, 1 section on dark mode Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). jakesamwalker
Thank you for responding! This could work. Just curious, how do you mean 'add 2 of the same section' ? As in, duplicate the section and place below the first, with new colour gradients? Link to comment

My ideal is use 2 sections with different gradient, then use CSS to show 1 on dark mode, show another on lightmode Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). Answer within 24 hours. You need to add it first, because no way to know ID unless you add it. If site is live and you can't do this, you can duplicate site & do there Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.).
