Issues with Adding Users to Secondary Domain in Google Workspace

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I’m facing a critical issue after my Google Workspace account was transferred to Squarespace as the reseller. Here’s the situation:

I have two domains:

  • Domain A: primarydomain.com (primary)
  • Domain B: secondarydomain.com (secondary)

When I try to add new users, they are always assigned to Domain A, even though I need them to be under Domain B. Both domains are listed correctly in the Google Admin Console, and secondarydomain.com is set up as a secondary domain, not as an alias. However, I can’t manage it independently in terms of assigning users or organizing my units.

I've tried:

  1. Checking domain settings—secondarydomain.com is set up correctly as a secondary domain.
  2. Verifying organizational units in the admin console, but I'm restricted from creating independent units for Domain B.
  3. Contacting Squarespace via chat (no human response)and email, but their support hasn't been helpful so far.

This bug is severely affecting my ability to run my business efficiently. Has anyone faced a similar issue with domain management or organizational units after their Google Workspace was transferred to a reseller like Squarespace? Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
