LeeBlackIII
I am trying to have our main domain pull up our website. Currently, the main domain (archimedesgrp.com) pulls up a "site not found" page. The built in domain (ryan-narus.squarespace.com) pulls up the website. I have connected the domain and it is confirmed in the website settings: The domain is active in Squarespace as well: When I click on Website Settings, it takes me to the website that is still under the built in domain name. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Your domain DNS records are partially loaded, there are no A records pointing to your site. You need to disconnect the domain in the DNS panel here: https://account.squarespace.com/domains you may need to log back in. Choose the domain and then choose DNS on the left menu. Delete the defaults and reset them. Once that is done it may take a few minutes for the site to come back up. You should be able to see all the records including the A records here: https://dnschecker.org/all-dns-records-of-domain.php?query=archimedesgrp.com&rtype=ALL&dns=google Link to comment
LeeBlackIII
@derricksrandomviews I did this but it is not loading any presets for SquareSpace Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Try "use a domain I own" in the DNS settings. You will be asked to provide the domain and then it should add all default records. Link to comment
LeeBlackIII
@derricksrandomviews Where do I go for that? I do not see that option Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Go to the website configuration menu, and down at the bottom click the gear/settings icon. Choose domains and email back at the top, then domains, on the right side of the page is use a domain that I own. Link to comment

LeeBlackIII
@derricksrandomviews looks like the website swapped back and now is linked to the default domain again. Any reason this happened? Anything I can do to make sure this does not happen again? Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Your domain is not connected to any website, the DNS records appear to be all there, but you may need to use the delete function for the default DNS and then use the domain I own option again. Link to comment
