PDF File displaying a blank page https://static1.squarespace.com/static/

I am using an accordion on my website. I have linked a pdf in that section where a person could click on the file and it *should* open in a new window. When you click the link (and all other links to pdf's on my site) it looks like it is going to load then defaults to a blank page with the following url:  https://static1.squarespace.com/static/ 

All pdf's are well under the 20MB limit. All files are fine and can be opened/viewed in Adobe. 

Can anyone help? I have spent all day on this.....

You say you linked these pdfs. What procedure did you use to link them?

The only way I know how....when you highlight the text and hit the "link" selection, then there is a drop down menu the lets you select "file" > "open in a new window" > "upload"

I have another website where I have done this many times and never had an issue. It really doesn't seem like it is an error I am making - should be very simple. The pdf looks like it is going to load and then doesn't.
