KatiePS73
I'm sure this has been raised before but I can't find a definitive answer through search. I had a Google-owned domain that's been bought by Squarespace - I created a new website, connected the (now Squarespace-owned) domain and hit publish...and...nothing. I can see the problem is the Squarespace default settings in the DNS - they are empty with no way to edit (I can delete, but when I add back in the fields are empty again). Can these be added in as Custom DNS or do I need a different bug fix or work around? Not massively technical so would appreciate any advice/clear instruction. thanks. Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Katie, what is your domain? If it is in your domain dashboard access it and choose use a domain that I own. Link to comment
KatiePS73
Thanks for your reply! The problem was the www/CNAME record in the DNS settings - once I'd deleted that I was able to add the full Squarespace default presets. We now have an SSL cert but the site is still showing as Under Construction (phasespace.co.uk) - hopefully this looks like everything is pointing to the right place? Please let me know if it doesn't look right. Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
The first A record is pointing to the under construction page. The solution is to delete the defaults and reload them. I don't know if that is what you did but I see your site is now active. Edited September 18 by derricksrandomviews Link to comment
