Landing page shows "Under construction" even after site is connected, published, and made public

Recommended Posts

A quick search of the forums show many people have had this problem but there aren't resolutions posted.  Hard to say if people had their problems fixed or just gave up on Squarespace.  I'll post back if my problem gets solved or not, one way or another.

I have a site at https://z4cusd.org

I have a home page at https://z4cusd.org/homepage

I have set the home page as the home page and I see the little home icon, and I have published the site as well.

This URL (https://z4cusd.org/homepage) shows the page fine, but (https://z4cusd.org) shows the black under construction page).  This would seem to me that the domain settings are fine, since I can reach the home page at its original URL, but something is messed up in the Squarespace landing page settings.

I've also tried making the site password protected, and in that configuration once I enter the password, then https://z4cusd.org/ does show the correct landing page!  It's only when the site is published to the public that the landing page does not work.

Does anyone have experience on how to fix this?  I never heard back from Squarespace Support. Any tips or past experience would be much appreciated!

Jerry

How long ago did you configure the domain? It can take some time (2-3 days) for both the naked domain and the www domain to be fully functional. If it helps, https://www.z4cusd.org/ (with the www) works for me.
