Change Aspect Ratio for Thumbnails on Events Page

I'd like the thumbnails on the Events Page to show the image in its entirety. Right now, the only vertical thumbnail aspect ratio cuts off some of the edges of the image. I want the thumbnails to be wider to show the entire picture.

You can use this to Website Tools > Custom CSS

    object-fit: contain !important;
}

That's great! Now that the full image shows, the text on the right is up higher than the image. Is there a way to adjust that code so that the image and text appear next to each other more directly?
