tsisda
I am the administrator of the domain name tsisda.org. We previously purchased our domain name services through Google Domains. However, after Google sold this business to Squarespace, our domain name was transferred to Squarespace this year. When I logged into the Squarespace website using my original Google administrator account, I found that the domain name tsisda.org is gone. Additionally, it appears that the domain records were not transferred correctly, resulting in the failure of our email services that were previously set up using MX records for this domain. We are currently unable to receive any emails. And, After logging into the Squarespace website, a message appeared stating "We couldn’t reach the email address xxxxxxxxxxxx", When we attempted to use the "Change email" feature to update our contact email, an error message appeared stating "Failed to change your email," which prevented us from successfully updating our contact email address. How to resolve this issue please? Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
You should have received an email from Squarespace with a new Squarespace account login and password. If you did not, your original Google account login and password should have logged you into Squarespace. If neither of those work then you need to contact Squarespace customer service. If your normal contact email does not work, I suggest you create a new standard Google email address so they can reach you. Link to comment
tsisda
No, I haven’t received any emails from Squarespace. Therefore, I used my original Workspace administrator Google account to log into Squarespace. However, as I mentioned earlier, the Domains management page is empty, displaying "There are no domains." I also tried contacting Squarespace through their contact form to explain the situation and provided a new Gmail account in the form, asking them to reach me through that email. However, it has been two weeks, and I have received no response at all. I find Squarespace’s handling of this issue to be extremely inefficient and unsatisfactory. Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
I wish we here on the forums could provide more help to you, but as volunteers and not staff members, some things are just out of our hands. If your domain is for a Squarespace website, you might try connecting it using a domain I own option. Link to comment
JayneC_SQSP
Hi @tsisda, thank you for posting here. We’ll be creating an email ticket on your behalf for our Customer Support team to assist further. For any others experiencing trouble with managing a migrated domain, when your domain migrated, it was moved to a Squarespace account with the same email address as the account that managed the domain when it was with Google Domains. If there’s an existing Squarespace account with that email address, the domain was moved there. Otherwise, a new account was created for that email address. To learn more, visit our guide: About the Google Domains migration to Squarespace If you need help locating the account associated with the domain, you can use the recovery link here: https://login.squarespace.com/recovery-form#/recovery/domain If you're no able to access the correct account, please reach out to our Customer Support team directly: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/requests/new#choose-topic Link to comment
